Important information
For successful operation of the utility any Guardant dongle with appropriate access codes must be connected to the computer.
Perform one of the following actions in order to initiate the work with the dongle programming utility:
- Launch GrdUtil.exe file located in folder “C:\Program Files\Guardant\SDK7\Bin”
- Select Programming Guardant dongles element in Guardant SDK 7 shell
- Select Guardant dongles programming element from the Program Group Guardant SDK 7 | Guardant dongles programming in Start menu
The main window of the utility will appear on the screen. During the first launch of GrdUtil.exe the Internal Database Wizard’s dialog box will appear along with the main window of the utility:
The first page of the dialog box contains a switch for the immediate initiation and setup of a database or for postponing this action.
Important information
The database setup can be done at any moment of running GrdUtil.exe by going to Database | Database setup in the window's menu.
The database mode is the main and recommended mode for GrdUtil.exe utility. See Section GrdUtil.exe Database for the description of the database and its setup process.
The following control elements appear in the main window of GrdUtil.exe:
- Menu
- Toolbar
- Mask editor
- Database tools (in the database mode)
- Dumps (in the database mode)
- Status bar
