Set a link to the activation service

To set a link to the license server follow the steps below:

1. Launch the Guardant License Wizard.
2. In the bottom left corner, click Settings.
3. In the Server Address field, enter the server address: https://getlicense.guardant.ru:443

   For the self-hosted version of Guardant Station, this setting is specified by the vendor. It will depend on the access settings for their Guardant Station instance. 

License activation

There are two ways to activate a license: online and offline.

It is possible to activate a license using the Guardant License Wizard for your own computer or for another computer.

Activate a license for the current computer

If the computer is connected to the Internet, you can activate the license online. 

To activate a license online for the current computer follow the next steps:

1. Launch the Guardant License Wizard.

2. Click License Activation.

3. In the utility window, click On this.

4. If you have a serial number:
   - Select the Serial Number tab.
   - Enter the serial number in the input field.
   - Click Get License.

5. If you have a license file:
   - Select the License File or Rehost File tab.
   - Click Select a File.
   - Select the license file and click Open.

If the computer is not connected to the Internet, you will need another computer that is connected to the Internet to activate the license.

To activate an offline license for the current computer on another computer follow the next steps:

1. Launch the Guardant License Wizard on a computer that is not connected to the Internet.

2. Click License Activation.

3. In the utility window, click On this.

4. In the utility window, click the Offline Activation link.
5. Select the New License tab and click Save. Save the request file on your computer and transfer it to a computer that is connected to the Internet.
6. Click Continue.
7. On the computer that is connected to the Internet, run the Guardant License Wizard.
8. Click License Activation.
9. Click On Another.
10. Click Continue.
11. Click Select a File and select the request file on your computer.
12. Enter the license serial number and click Activate a New License.
13. Click Save. Save the license file on your computer and transfer it to a computer that is not connected to the Internet.
    If you did not close the Guardant License Wizard on a computer that is not connected to the Internet:
    - In the window for license activation, click Continue, I have the license file.
    - Click Select a File.
    - Select the license file and click Open.
14. If you closed the Guardant License Wizard on a computer that is not connected to the Internet:
    - Launch it.
    - Click License Activation.
    - Click On this.
    - Click the Offline Activation link.
    - Click Continue.
    - Click Continue, I have the license file.
    - Click Select a File.
    - Select the license file and click Open.

License activation for another computer

If it is necessary to prepare a license file that will be used on another computer, follow this procedure.

To activate a license for another computer follow the next steps:

1. Launch the Guardant License Wizard on a computer where you want to activate the license.

2. Click License Activation.

3. In the utility window, click On Another.

4. Get the request file from the computer where you want to use the license:
   - Run the Guardant License Wizard on it.
   - Click License Activation.
   - Click On This.- Click the Offline Activation link.
   - Click Save. This will download the request file.
   - Send this file to the computer where you want to activate the license.

5. Click Continue on the computer where you want to activate the license.
   Click Select a File and select the request file on the computer.
   Enter the license number and click Activate a New License.

License Update

ut available updates is displayed automatically in the utility window after the utility is launched.

The Install update button is displayed next to the license that needs to be updated. To update the license, click this button. If the button is not displayed, use the functionality to force update information.

There are two types of forced update: online and offline.

To force update information online (this procedure is equivalent to restarting the utility):

1. aunch the Guardant License Wizard.
2. In the line with the license, click on the three dots and select Check updates.

To force update information offline:

1. aunch the Guardant License Wizard.
2. In the line with the license, click on the three dots and select Offline update.
3. If you plan to use the license on the current computer:
   - click On this;
   - click Save;
   - save the request file on your computer;
   - click Continue;
   - click Continue, I have the license file;
   - click Select a File;
   - select the license file and click Open.
4. If you plan to use the license on another computer:
   - click On another;
   - launch the Guardant License Wizard on a computer where you want to use the license.
   - Click License Activation.
   - Click On This.
5. - Click the Offline Activation link.
   - go to the License Update tab;
   - find the line with the required license and click Select in this line;
   - click Save and save the request file on the computer;
   - send this file to the computer where you want to activate the license;
   - on the computer where you want to activate the license, click Select a File and select the request file;
   - click Update this license.

Rehost a license to another computer

To transfer a license to another computer:

1. Launch the Guardant License Wizard.
2. In the license line, click the three dots and select Move to another computer.
3. Click Save. This will download the license file.
4. Send this file to the new computer.
5. Activate the license on the new computer.

View the master event log

The event log is a text file that records all operations and errors when working with the wizard. This file is transferred to the technical support of the Vendor of the protected application when problems arise in the wizard.

To open the folder with the log file:

1. Launch the Guardant License Wizard
2. In the bottom left corner, click Settings.
3. Click the Go to log directory link.
